Slack & Discord Webhooks as of 9/17/24

Updated over a month ago

BCurrently BID is integrated with the capability to allow Slack and Discord Webhooks. A Webhook allows notifications from BID to be integrated into your facility's Slack or Discord channels. As a Facrep (or Area Rep) this would allow for you to get notifications on when each person in your Local is up to BID and what bid was entered. The integrations for Slack & Discord are setup a little differently for each.

SLACK

Integration between Slack and BID is based off of a webhook link created thru Slack. You must have a paid version of Slack, and either create an app thru slack or a new workflow to utilize. You will need to insert the webhook into each Area settings menu.

  1. Create the Slack Webhook - https://api.slack.com/messaging/webhooks

  2. Copy & Paste the Webhook link.

    1. Go to the top right gear settings menu, select "Manage Areas"

    2. Click the Edit button on the Area that you want to add the webhook to.

    3. Paste the link in the text box "Slack Webhook"

    4. Click "Submit"

    5. Preview of Notifications:
